Join us for our 16th Annual Walk for Hope!

This year's event will take place at the beautiful Waubonsie Lake Park pavilion in Aurora! Join us for a wonderful evening in support of Mutual Ground’s mission to provide education, awareness, and life-changing services that empower individuals, families, and communities to end the cycle of domestic and sexual violence and the harms of substance use.

This family friendly event will feature a group 1-mile walk or the option to run the scenic 5K course around Waubonsie Lake! After the walk/run stay for our after-party featuring music, food truck vendors, and impact displays. As usual the event is completely free to attend!

Questions about Fundraising

Fundraising for the Walk for Hope is super easy! You can create an individual fundraising page through our event site and then share your link with family and friends to get pledges! You can also start a team and have your family/friends join in the fun!
No! This event is free of charge to participate! If you would like to fundraise you set your own goal.
Not at all! You can support an individual fundraiser, a team, or just make a general donation to the event!
Any individual that donates directly to the event or creates a page and raises $50 or more will receive their choice of a Walk for Hope t-shirt!
Any individual that donates directly to the event or creates a page and raises $250 or more will receive a Mutual Ground Umbrella!

Questions about the Event

This year participants will have the choice to walk a 1-mile course or run a 5K (untimed) around the beautiful Waubonsie Lake!
After the walk/run the event continues into the evening with an after-party featuring music, food truck vendors, and impact displays. As usual the event is completely free to attend!
This family friendly event will conclude with an after party featuring music, food truck vendors, and impact displays. Bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets and stick around for dinner, music, and great company!
The walk/run will kick-off at 6:30pm, right after the event program.
If you are planning on staying for the after party, we suggest bringing lawn chairs and/or picnic blankets!
We will have bottled water available at no cost. During the after-party food trucks will provide food for purchase.
The following food truck vendors will be present at the Walk for Hope After-Party: Hell’s BBQ, Santiago’s Tacos, and Tito’s Ice Cream!
The Walk for Hope will continue rain or shine! In the event of dangerous weather conditions, the Walk for Hope will be cancelled and instructions will be emailed for alternate pick-up of t-shirts and umbrellas.
