About Mutual Ground
Located in Aurora, Mutual Ground is the sole provider of comprehensive victim services in Southern Kane and all of Kendall County. Our mission is to provide education, awareness, and life changing services that empower individuals, families, and communities to end the cycle of domestic and sexual violence. All of our services are free, confidential, and offered in both English and Spanish. We work with close to 1,500 clients a year, over 400 of which are children. Established in 1975, we are one of the oldest and largest domestic violence and sexual assault service agencies in the state of Illinois.
Mutual Ground’s Internship Program
The purpose of an internship program at Mutual Ground is to provide an opportunity for students to apply the skills they have learned in the classroom in a professional context. Mutual Ground plays an important role as students begin to transition into to professional roles. This opportunity will benefit both the student and Mutual Ground clients by offering needed services.
