Ongoing Support

Our ongoing support programs assure a smooth transition to violence free and abuse free living.

Our ongoing support services are free of charge. We provide ongoing support services for Mutual Ground shelter residents and for clients who have a support system and are safe in their home.

If you feel that you are in immediate danger, call 911.

If you would like to speak with someone at Mutual Ground, call our 24-hour Domestic Violence Hotline at 630-897-0080 or our Sexual Assault Hotline at 630-897-8383.

Spanish speaking advocates are available—we offer bicultural/bilingual services to anyone who reaches out to us.

The healing continues with ongoing support.

Mutual Ground provides ongoing professional services. We provide one-on-one sessions to help you identify your options, as well as support groups which help break down feelings of isolation and promote healing.

We help you assess and explore possibilities before making life-changing decisions with peer support, education and referrals to the appropriate local agencies.

We have a parenting group that encourages non-violent behavior and provides children with individual or group counseling sessions at Mutual Ground, at their school, and we even offer a summer day camp.

For victims of sexual assault, we provide individual counseling by our professional staff, along with comprehensive support groups for rape, incest, children, adolescents, non-offending parents and significant others—including play therapy for children and art therapy for teens.
