Walking out the front door at midnight with a couple of kids and the family dog takes real courage. We help make that overwhelming first step a viable option for domestic violence and sexual assault victims by providing a safe place to stay at no charge, along with ongoing professional support and genuine concern.
If you are a domestic violence or sexual assault victim, here are a few suggested steps to put you on a path to where the healing can begin.
- If you feel that you are in immediate danger, call 911.
- If you would like to speak with someone at Mutual Ground, call our 24-hour Domestic Violence Hotline at 630-897-0080 or our Sexual Assault Hotline at 630-897-8383.
- All calls are confidential and our trained professionals will offer informed, non-judgmental support.
- Spanish speaking advocates are available—we offer bicultural/bilingual services to anyone who reaches out to us.
We are here to help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault free of charge. Our services include an emergency shelter along with all of the tools, support and services victims will need for the healing to begin.
